About US
Penn Emblem is proud to be celebrating 71 years of innovation as a third generation family-owned business. We take pride in providing our customers with the highest quality and unique products. Image is everything at Penn Emblem Company. We know every identification product we make must positively reflect your organization. That’s why high quality, innovative branding solutions have been at the heart of our manufacturing operation for three generations.
In 1947, company founder Frank Blumenthal began embroidering emblems out of his Philadelphia garage to serve the uniform rental market. He brought the first heat sealable emblems to the industry. By 1970, his oldest son Robert took over, adding technologies to introduce a variety of new products from appliqués to barcoded ID labels.
Today, Frank’s granddaughter Randi Blumenthal-Joseph represents the third generation to steer the company as president. When she took the reins in 2010, Penn Emblem became certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise to better support clients focused on supply chain diversity. She continues her family’s tradition of quality and innovation, expanding Penn Emblem to serve customers in North America and abroad with an even wider array of identification solutions.
Our U.S. and international manufacturing capabilities deliver cost-effective custom embroidered patches and screen-printed emblems, appliqués, sublimated products, heat transfers, thermal barcode systems and mending materials to the textile services, uniform rental and promotional product markets. In addition, we offer flame resistant/high visibility decoration solutions that meet regulatory guidelines for uniforms in high risk industries.
